How do I use a dual handset phone?
To use a dual handset phone the user will treat the phone like any normal device by simply picking up one of the receivers. Once they have dialed out, the other user may pick up the other receiver by which both users will be able to hear the conversation connected to the other line.

Why do I need a dual handset phone?
A dual handset phone comes in handy for three-way conversations, small conference calls, and services such as language interpretation. Also, using separate handsets provides a more sanitary way to share the aforementioned conversations. For example, if a doctor needs to dial in to an interpreter and listen to the conversation between the interpreter and his patient at the same time, he can remain on the phone without having to pass the handset back and forth.

How do I use dual handset phones for language interpretation?
Using a dual handset phone for language interpretation is the same procedure as with any other call. The staff member will need to pick up the main handset, preferably the one with the shorter cord, and dial in to the interpreter service. Once the operator has connected the staff member to the interpreter, he or she may give the other handset to the patient.
