You must provide for the translation of written materials, including vital documents, for each eligible LEP language group that constitutes 10% or 3,000 individuals, whichever is less of the population in the service area.
You much provide translation of vital documents at minimum for LEP language groups that constitute 5% or 1000, whichever is less, of the population in the service area.
You much provide notice in the primary language of each LEP language group of the right to receive competent oral translation of written materials, free of cost.
Vital documents include consent forms, notices advising of right to free language assistance, information on available services, as well as other important notices and documents.
