Video Remote Interpretation

Are you providing effective communication for your deaf and hard of hearing patients?

The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) applies to public and private health care providers regardless of the size of the office or the number of employees.

The U.S. Department of Justice has developed a model program for hospital compliance with the ADA as it concerns deaf individuals. Included in the program are the requirements that hospitals provide:

  • The availability of sign language interpretation services, both on-demand with video interpreting services and on-call with live interpreters.
  • Aids and services such as text telephones (TTY/TDD) availability, similar to voice phone availability for hearing individuals.

SpectraCorp offers cost-effective solutions by NexTalk which meets the communication requirements for the deaf and hard-of-hearing including:

  • Easy-to-Use On-Demand Video Sign Language Interpreting,
    • Highest Quality Video Available
    • Professional, Easy-to-use Interface

  • TTY/TDD Telecommunications everywhere you need it, and
    • No Phone lines required, just existing Network connectivity
    • Works with existing infrastructure
